People's Choice Award returns to the 43rd Fajr Film Festival

Following a decision to reinstate the much-coveted  People's Choice Award at Iran’s prestigious Fajr Film Festival, a coordination meeting has been held on the organization of the voting system, the Public Relations Office of the event reported.
The crystal People's Choice Award will return to the festival after a three-year hiatus.

The coordination meeting, attended by several officials and executive experts of the festival as well as representatives of the SAMFA central online ticket sales system, discussed the implementation of the voting process.

The participants also discussed the significance of protecting audience votes and ensuring a successful voting process.

Manouchehr Shahsavari, the festival’s secretary, stated that efforts are being made to address past issues and implement new, secure processes for the upcoming festival, allowing audiences to vote for their favorite films and witness the award presentation once again.

The voting process for the Fajr Film Festival will soon be finalized by experts and announced to the filmmakers and audience, according to the Public Relations Office.

The People's Choice Award, highly esteemed by filmmakers and audiences alike, was first introduced in the 16th Fajr Film Festival and continued until the 39th festival, with 29 films having received the award during that period.
