Conference of the Day of Persian Poetry and Literature and honoring the position
of Shahriar in the Petrochemical Hall of Tabriz, stating that the cultural and
civil projects of East Azarbaijan Province are going on at a good pace, said: a
magnificent place in the glory of poetry in Tabriz is being prepared, and we hope
to soon see the reconstruction of the tomb of the poets in the best way.
Mohammad Mahdi Esmaeili added: Tabriz is not only a city and
geography, but the people of this region have played an incomparable and
civilizational role in the entire history of Iran.
Esmaeili said: When we talk about Tabriz, we don't mean only
the precious historical heritage, but the famous and virtuous people of Tabriz
are proof of the cultural greatness of this region.
Referring to Tabriz's tomb of poets, he also said: The burial
of 400 poets in one collection shows the cultural greatness of this city.
The Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance called
Azerbaijan and Tabriz the beating heart of Islamic Iran and said: In the
500-year history of the establishment of modern Iran, this region has defined
its identity boundaries, and in these boundaries, religion and devotion to the Ahl
al-Bayt are at the core of this discourse.
He continued: During this period, the field of culture and
literature got a new appearance and important cultural and artistic productions
took place and the birth of civilization began in this region.
Referring to Shahriar's life, Esmaeili added: Shahriar lived
in a period when Iran was about to enter new ideas, but in the meantime,
Shahriar became a scholar of ritual poetry and spoke poems that cannot be
explained with nothing but divine help.
The Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance continued: Today,
Shahriar is sitting as a symbol of Persian poetry and literature, and we are
all proud of him which is one of the main symbols of Iranian culture.
Stating that today, Tabriz and Azerbaijan are shining in the
field of culture and literature of the country, Esmaeili said: In the
performing and visual arts, a long list of the greats of Tabriz comes to mind,
each of them representing the country's literary and cultural school.
