In a joint meeting with the presence of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mahdi Esmaeili and Mohammad Turkmaneh, the CEO of the Barkat Foundation of the Executive Headquarters of the Order of Imam (RA), a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the Barkat Foundation focusing on activities in the field of cultural economy.

In this meeting, Esmaeili thanked the officials of Barkat Foundation for their presence and support in the implementation of cultural projects and said: Today, it is a matter of pride that in the Islamic Republic of Iran, all groups are together like a single line and are working for the advancement and growth of the country.

He added: Since the beginning of the activities of the government in the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, a camp for depriving culture and art has been launched, and various institutions and departments of the ministry are involved in this work, and since the establishment of this camp, a hundred thousand students, mainly in deprived areas of the country, have received education.

He emphasized: Of course, the Ministry of Culture has limited facilities and it is not possible to develop this work according to the needs of the country, but with cooperation of the Barkat Foundation, we hope that this work will continue strongly.

Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance listed the issue of the economy of culture and art and creative cultural industries as part of the macro cultural missions of the country and clarified: we must serve with the cooperation of the Barkat Foundation and other supporting sources, including the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, in this direction.

Emphasizing the plans of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance to support the livelihood of artists, Esmaeili announced the start of the Art City construction project with the presence of the Minister of Roads and Urban Development.
